In Raleigh, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across North Carolina, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Raleigh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I came here to have a tooth gem backing removed and asked to pay extra for composite bonding to shape my canine into a sharper, cosmetic fang. While the staff initially agreed it was doable, the actual execution and customer service ended being disappointing. There was a massive communication barrier? not because I wasn't clear. When I requested the sharper edge, I was dismissively told that 'most people want their teeth ground down.' Other people's dental preferences aren't my standard, and as a paying client requesting a specific cosmetic look, being met with defensiveness and animosity was highly unprofessional. To make matters worse, the structural integrity of the work was completely rushed. The bonding chipped the very next day. I paid hundreds of dollars extra for a premium cosmetic service, only to be ignored by the staff and left with broken work less than 24 hours later. If you are looking for a cosmetic clinic that actually listens to your aesthetic goals instead of forcing standard, cookie-cutter expectations on you, I would look elsewhere. They were quite polite at first and I stayed respectful but I do feel scammed from the second part of my visit (waiting room experi

I have had a lot of dental work with a lot of dentists Dr Smith at Stonehenge Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Raleigh is by far the best She takes her time explaining what needs to be done, asks questions to make sure the patient knows and approves what she plans to do ,and then does it to perfection My daughter also sees Dr Smith. She has unique medical needs Unlike other dentists she's been to ,Dr Smith listened and dealt with my daughters needs . It took time and care and she is generous with both The office is amazing I chipped a front tooth, called at 9 and was treated at noon

I absolutely love it here. Everyone is so pleasant which takes the stress off, at least for m, when it is time to visit. I. have had a fear of going to the dentist eversince I was a child many many moons ago π. A brief storyβ¦every year the catholic elementary school I went to in Brooklyn NY, all students had to visit the dentist and provide the school with a card regarding checkups at the end of the school year. But if we didnβt go to the dentist, they would not promote us to the next grade. Talk about fear. Thus the beginning of my fear of going to the dentist. Because back then, it hurt every time I went. Thus the fear developed. But I am in a good place now thanks to all of the wonderful care, knowledge and kindness. π€π€π€

I have been a patient of Dr. Giggey's for years and I highly recommend her for her thoroughness in her examinations and for her excellent explanations of procedures. She explains everything she is doing and I appreciate that she shows me pictures afterwards. Christine is an excellent hygienist, being thorough and gentle in her cleanings - the best combination :)

Our family started coming to see Dr. Elderkin last year and have been happy with the change. We had a wonderful experience with Lisa who oversaw everything at the front desk. Christine was our hygienist and was equally lovely. At our last visit, we saw Dr. Smith who is new to the office. She, like Dr. Elderkin, took her time to explain any concerns and seems to be a great addition to the practice!
